"This review may be a little early as I just got my cast off my nose today...but I am over the moon. I don't know how Dr. Keyes does it, and I'll admit I was skeptical while the cast was on as the cast and tape can distort things. I was actually a nervous wreck. But when that cast came off today, it reduced me to happy tears. He did everything I wanted and more. My nose is now straight, and it looks amazing. Even swollen I love it! I can breathe through my left nostril for the first time and it feels so good. I seriously feel like a new person. I'm so excited to see how it progresses over the next year. Dr. Keyes was the only consultation I had, and for a second it crossed my mind, did I jump the gun on this? Do I need a second opinion? Something in my gut trusted him. And I'm so glad my gut was right. His reviews and his before and after photos on his website speak for themselves. I am so thankful to Dr. Keyes and Kimberly. They're so easy to reach and they care about you just as much before the surgery as they do after. They are wonderful. Couldn't recommend them more. I am so happy. Thank you Dr. Keyes and Kimberly. From the bottom of my heart!"- S.B. / Yelp / Nov 05, 2019

"Miraculous Experience! - I had my nose broken seven years ago from an accident, not that it was ever perfect to begin with but the damage it caused impacted me to the point where I felt like taking pictures were a violation of my privacy, I was too afraid to speak up in college and pursue my career because I felt like I was too ugly! I stepped into Dr. Keyes office not knowing a thing about plastic surgery and he made the procedure easy to understand. Because a lot of trauma was involved with the accident, I was actually terrified, so it meant a lot that Dr. Keyes assured me that everything was going to go great and it did. Everyone was very kind and helping and I felt like we connected right away. Now, I can't even remember that there was a time when I ever did not have the confidence to pursue my dreams!"- K. / RealSelf / May 22, 2020
"I broke my nose extremely badly playing soccer in college. After the break, I had a doctor tell me that due to the severity of how deviated my septum was, it would be impossible to make my nose straight without making it much wider and compromising the look of my nose. I have small features and so I didn't want to have my nose widened so I had surgery with a doctor in Minnesota knowing that I wouldn't be coming out of the surgery with a straight nose. At the time, I believed that was my only option. I went on living life, knowing that if I had the opportunity to change one thing about myself, it would be my nose. It was the one feature I was most self-conscious about because every time I looked in the mirror I saw the "S" shape of my nose. When I would smile, my nose would droop and appear much larger than it was. It bothered me so much that I would edit photos of myself to make my nose straight. Several years later after moving to Los Angeles I found and met with Dr. Keyes. I cannot even begin to explain how blessed I was to have found him. When we first sat down together, I didn't even have to tell him what was wrong with my nose. He started explaining everything that he saw that needed fixing. He said my septum was pushed out of place, then incorrectly fixed by a doctor that wasn't properly trained which resulted in the "S" shape, that the cartilage in my tip wasn't strong enough which was causing my nose to droop when I would smile and he explained to me that he knew exactly what would need to be done to fix my nose. I have never felt so much confidence in a doctor. Dr. Keyes made all my fears and all my reservations go away in that instance. I put my faith in Dr. Keyes, rightfully so. Dr. Keyes and his team took the best care of me; before surgery, during and after. Kimberely held my hand as I went under anesthesia and made sure I was comfortable and felt safe the entire time. I never thought I would get to a place where I truly felt confident in the way my nose looked. Dr. Keyes proved to me that when you find the right doctor, who knows exactly what they're doing, it's more than a possibility. Now, it's my reality. I could not be happier with the outcome and I could not be happier with the experience. I would highly recommend anyone looking for an amazing plastic surgeon for a rhinoplasty, to set up a consultation with Dr. Keyes. I promise he will exceed your expectations the same way he did mine."- M.S. / Google / Mar 14, 2020
Nonsurgical Rhinoplasty Ideal Candidates
Not every nose has an aesthetic flaw that requires surgery. You are a good candidate for a nonsurgical rhinoplasty if you want to reshape your nose without surgery or have:
- A need for a height increase for your nose
- A nasal hump that needs
- A curvature that can be straightened out with the placement of a filler
- A desire for the appearance of an extension in the projection of your nasal tip or to narrow the tip
- A few minor depressions or irregularities that can be smoothed out with a filler
With these kinds of minor changes, nonsurgical rhinoplasty can be an appropriate treatment.
Nonsurgical Rhinoplasty Treatment Techniques
Once you have had a consultation with Dr. Keyes, he will perform the dermal filler injections in his private practice in Los Angeles, CA for your cosmetic issue.
Common Cosmetic Strategies
- Nasal Hump
If your nasal hump is too large to be transformed with fillers, then Dr. Keyes may recommend that you have surgery to correct this abnormality. Otherwise, you may qualify for injections of a dermal filler on both sides of the hump to even out the scooped nasal top.
- Shallow Nasal Height
When the nasal bones are shallow and the tips are wide, you do have an opportunity to have volume replaced with fillers. For more height in your nasal bones, Dr. Keyes will place an injection of a dermal filler into the nasal bone, over the nasal tip cartilage for definition, and reduce the appearance of a bulbous tip.
- Bulbous Nasal Tip
If you have a bulbous tip on the end of your nose, this is caused by a widened and/or separated nasal tip cartilage. Dr. Keyes can inject a dermal filler to create the optical illusion that your nasal tip has more projection, yet still narrow.
- Cartilage Warping and Irregularities
To camouflage cartilage imperfections (such as warming and other irregularities), Dr. Keyes can inject a filler as a solution. The cartilage can be twisted, bent, or appear sharp. If the cartilage is twisted, bent, or sharp then it can often be seen through the skin.
What to Expect with Nonsurgical Rhinoplasty
After your series of injections with your chosen dermal filler, your nasal features may be red, tender, swollen, or slightly bruised. These are all normal and will go away within a few days. You will be free to go about your day once you leave our office. You may also want to schedule a follow-up injection session as Dr. Keyes recommends (most patients visit 1 – 2 times per year for touch-ups based on the product used and how fast your body metabolizes the filler). If you have questions at any time after your treatment, please call our office for assistance.
Nonsurgical Rhinoplasty Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a nonsurgical nose job cost?
The cost of a nonsurgical rhinoplasty will vary from person to person as each case is different. Some patients require more fillers than others depending on their specific cosmetic goals. During your initial consultation, our cosmetic team will be able to discuss the exact cost of your unique treatment plan in detail.
What filler is most commonly used for a nonsurgical nose job?
The most common fillers we use for nonsurgical nose jobs are Juvéderm or Restylane. These are both hyaluronic acid gels that are soft and tissue like. Both are FDA approved for nonsurgical rhinoplasty and are a safe way to get the results you want without surgery. These gels can even be dissolved if you are not satisfied with the procedure.
How long does a nonsurgical nose job last?
The longevity of your results will be dependent on the type of fillers used and your unique biology. With Juvéderm, results can last up to two years. However, this is not always the case for every patient. Some patients may need touch-ups at month 9 – 10.
When are results visible?
Although results can be seen almost immediately, optimal results will occur after 2 – 4 weeks. You will have some minor swelling, redness, and bruising in the area that may take a few days to fade away. We advise that you have a cold compress and over-the-counter pain relievers available and on hand to reduce these after effects.
After the procedure, there is some minor swelling and redness that may take a few days to disappear. These symptoms can be eased with a cold compress and over-the-counter medication.
